The Training.Part 1, 2 and 3

Part 1. Theory; this consists of 100 multiple choice questions and 14 hazard perception video clips (approximately 1 minute each).

Part 2. Driving Ability; This test is a higher standard than the L test. You must be able to read a vehicle number plate in good day light with or without glasses or contact lenses from 26.5 metres or 27.5 metres depending if it is new or old style number plate. There will be show me tell me questions before the drive and you will have to demonstrate your driving skills on various roads.

Part 3. Ability to Instruct; This is to assess the quality of your instruction so to pass on your knowledge to your pupils. The test is an hour and is divided into two parts of 30 minutes.You must be well prepared before taking this test because you will have to pass both parts on the same test. This is the most difficult of the three tests, this is why Leaf School of Motoring has an 18 months unlimited training policy so to get you prepared.

Unlimited Training for part 2 and 3.with Leaf School of Motoring.

This is unlimited training if you pay monthly or you pay up front. The unlimited training is a maximum of 18 months or you pass part 2 and 3 with Leaf School of Motoring. This can be extended if Leaf School of Motoring is off work due to sickness or holidays by the same amount of days (excluding weekends and public holidays). Most companies only offer 40 hours training for part 3, this is usually not enough training to get you through the exam and they you could pay a hourly rate at a higher price. If you cannot attend the course because of of sickness or holidays (excluding weekends and public holidays) then the 18 months can be extended by the same amount of days.
